About the Program
The M.Sc. Zoology work-integrated degree program at Andhra University is designed to provide you with a deep understanding of animal biology, behavior, ecology, evolution, and conservation. Through this program, students will be able to communicate effectively on complex life activities with the scientific community and with society at large. They will also be able to understand the impact of natural and anthropogenic activities in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
M.Sc. Zoology is a work-integrated degree program that provides an opportunity for learners to take – Apprenticeship / Internship / Live project / On-the-job training.
Duration:
2 years
Objectives:
- To be a highly successful and excellent researcher in advanced areas of research in the biological sciences.
- To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Zoology and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a project team.
- To empower students to understand the challenges of society and the country that falls into the realms of Zoology.
- To apply the knowledge of Zoology, Life Sciences, and allied subjects to the understanding of complex life processes and phenomena and equip with recent advances in Zoology from organismic to reductionist biology.
- To design processes/strategies that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
