About the Program
The M.A. Hindi postgraduate degree program primarily consists of studying Hindi Literature, Linguistics, Hindi Prose, and Old & Medieval poetry. The M.A. Hindi program is for two years and focuses on imparting vast knowledge of the Hindi language, and literature to students. The program is designed for aspiring writers, teachers, editors, and linguists among others. Students can also pursue PhD or M.Phil in Hindi after completing their M.A. in Hindi.
M.A. Hindi is a work-integrated degree program that provides an opportunity for learners to take – Apprenticeship / Internship / Live project / On-the-job training.

Objectives:
- To prepare the students with skills to analyze the concept and different theories of Hindi literature and language.
- To prepare the students for pursuing research or careers in Hindi language and literature.
- To imbibe effective communication in both mediums of expression (oral and writing).
- To prepare students for a successful career in the Hindi language.
- To help the learners understand the language of prose and poetry.
